EK is Releases EK-XLC Predator Push-Pull Add-On
Though the cooler is already intensely powerfull (our review here), you can up it a notch as EK is releasing EK-XLC Predator Push-Pull Add-On packs for its premium CPU All-In-One liquid cooling units.
EK-XLC Predator Push-Pull Add-On is a set of additional EK-Vardar F4-120ER fans for EK-XLC Predator units to enable push-pull fan configuration. EK-XLC Predator has two (240 version) or three (360 version) EK-Vardar F4-120ER fans in the pull configuration. Consequently, the fans suck the air from the EK-CoolStream radiator. With this Add-On, you can install two or three additional EK-Vardar fans to your existing EK-XLC Predator unit for the push configuration, thus creating a push-pull configuration on the radiator. This allows you to get the best possible cooling performance out of your EK-XLC Predator. You can expect up to 10% higher radiator performance, leading up to 3°C lower temperatures in a typical loop.
NameMSRP (incl. VAT)
- EK-XLC Predator 240 Push-Pull Add-On 24,95€
- EK-XLC Predator 360 Push-Pull Add-On 44,95€
EK-XLC Predator 240 Push-Pull Add-On includes two EK-Vardar F4-120ER fans and EK-XLC Predator 360 Push-Pull Add-On includes three EK-Vardar F4-120ER fans. Both packs also include EK-Cable Y-Splitter for connecting the fans to EK-XLC Predator fan splitter hub. Screws for mounting the fans and additional zip ties for neat cable management are also included. Furthermore, the fans come with different cable lengths. This is because every fan is intended for a specific position on the Predator unit, so you will be able to really make it aesthetically pleasing without any cables hanging out.

While this looks (and likely performs) very impressive, I have to wonder how many cases could fit something like this.
I recently got a H115i (with the fans in pull above the radiator and between it and the case, as an exhaust) and it was a huge pain in the ass to fit everything in a CM Storm Trooper. It's a super tight fit and no way could I double the fans.
But then again, I guess those huge box like cases would be best for such a beast.
usually if not top side of case, then it placed in intake fan
i personally dont really like push-pull configuration as it only give 1-2C difference
but the radiator got clogged much faster on push side, when that happen the 1-2C improvement basically dismissed
i find it much better with pull and let pc intake fans flow the air
the radiator clogged much slower, and another plus is that easier to clean the radiator without needing to dissamble it

Exactly. I had a Corsair H100 for 4 years in push/pull and it was exactly the same. It was such a pain in the ass to clean.
Sometime after 3 years one of the fans from the upper part died, so I disabled the second as well, the difference was 1 degree at best...
Now with the H115i, while still exhaust, it's with the fans in pull, I can easily clean the radiator in a few seconds with my blower, don't even have to take anything down.

I have this cooler and am cooling my chip and gpu wiith just the push and all at low rpm.
Personally don't really see the need for push/pull as it would likely yield only marginally better temps.

Have used CM Storm Trooper and has been great case,I didn't expected will be so roomy and regarding the cooling, have run there H100i with Noctua NF-F12 fans, with very good cooling, just what I don't like on CM cases are poor filters, but still is very great case for money
Regarding the push/pull configuration,I've right now Enthoo Primo and there you should be able to run that,I've tried that on H100i v2 and difference has been 1-2C as most, due this I will don't do that again, its not worth it,only where I'm running that is on Titan X Hybrid AIO and difference again is minimal

Hope this helps
Thanks,Jura
