EK AMD Radeon R9 295X2 Water Blocks

EK AMD Radeon R9 295X2 Water Blocks

EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana-based premium liquid cooling gear manufacturer, is proud to introduce a new Full Cover water block for AMD flagship dual-processor graphics card Radeon R9 295X2, the only true single-slot liquid cooling solution on the market.

Unlike factory provided closed-loop cooling solution, the EK-FC R9-295X2 is a complex design water block. It directly cools the GPU, RAM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water flows directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks. EK-FC R9-295X2 water block also features a very high flow design therefore it can be easily used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps.

Base is made of electrolytic copper (nickel-plated or bare - depending on the variant) while the top is made of quality cast acrylic material or POM Acetal (depending on the variant). Screw-in brass standoffs are pre-installed and allow for safe installation procedure. The cooling engine uses refined 0.7 mm wide microchannel structure to even further improve the heat transfer while not sacrificing the famous low hydraulic restriction design.

EK also encloses a single-slot I/O bracket which replaces the original two-slot in order to make installation of multiple graphics cards easier. This makes the EK-FC R9-295X2 the only true single-slot liquid cooling solution on the market. Made in Slovenia - Europe!

Up to four EK-FC R9-295X2 series water blocks can be interconnected with EK-FC Terminal which allows for hassle-free piping job.

The product is readily available for purchase through EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network and comes in four different variants. Prices hover at roughly a whopping 175 EUR:

175 euros to basically improve your VRM cooling a bit and void your warranty! I can't help but feel they aren't going to be shifting many units at that price on a card which already has a water block attached.

not the same thing... the original one:
-cool only GPU the other part are air cooling.
-are big due to the pump (and so 2 slot)
-have a small rad.

so i guess the EK is way better (despite i don't like too much EK myself).
and single slot.

It is pretty pricey but then again so is the 295x2. If I cared to own such a GPU, I'd definitely get this water block. One of the benefits of getting a 295x2 is the fact that you have 1 less GPU to insert, which means access to 2 more PCI(e) slots that a 2nd GPU (and its heatsink) would cover up. Get a single-slot cooler and you'll even get access to a 3rd slot. That's pretty nice, IMO, especially if you have a micro ATX board and have a need for each slot.

Also, the noise reduction while leaving overclocking headroom is a nice bonus.

You could call me something of an Nvidia... enthusiast, but I'm definitely liking this card alot more than the wayyyyyyy overpriced DragonTitan Z
