Anyone notice the focus on women in games now?
GW5
Wolfenstien Young Blood
BF V
etc
I don't have any issues with women in games but it seems to be forced at you.
I don't understand this.
It doesn't matter either way but it should make sense in a game IMO. But it does come off, to me, disconnected or more of a knee jerk kind of thing.
Honestly, it sells right now. To be fair though, Gears of War doesn't seem to be going towards this for money, they've had playable women characters in their games for awhile now.

Sure, sure I think we all are aware of that but it was something that promoted a level of cohesion and harmony. It made sense it wasn't a "us" vs "them" vibe IMO. And yet it still made the company profit.
True, but there was Tomb Raider in 1996. No one that I knew complained about the main character being a woman. There was no political statement being made. It was simply a fun game to play. That's 22 years of gamers buying a game that had a well known female lead character.
Wither we agree or disagree. IMO, the reasons for it now has a much more negative connotation associated with it in "today's" games than it ever did in days past.

All I saw was that there'd be a PC version, that's all I needed to know.
I hate it that I have only GoW and GoW4 on PC, I did not play nor do I know what the heck happened in GoW2 and GoW3 since they were console only titles. I wonder what the PC requirement's gonna be like.....

I'm all for equality. Last of Us 2 was a bit much - but I digress. Lead character aside, this is all the same sh*t I've been playing for 25 years. New graphics, same gameplay, throw a new number at the end of the title or word, In Halo's case they went with "infinite" instead of Halo 6, as they realized they'd reach an infinite amount of numbers continually doing sequels that way.
Half of this stuff, like last year, won't be out before next years e3. One of the worst e3's I can remember. Especially on Sony's side. Me thinks new consoles next year by this software rate....also Halo and Elder scrolls being announced for next-gen.
Gears of War 5. AKA, same as part 4 until next-gen has a Gears of War 5 UHD UBER OMGZ Edition.
