Just went ahead and did so.
Don't think I'm going to update my drivers for a while since the 16.7.2s have been solid for me and my cards finally downclock at idle correctly after reinstalling windows with the anniversary update. Having two 280xs running at max clock/voltage all the time was not very cool.
