any vega users with this driver playing Control?
how is FPS on the game? I just installed the game and i have 20.11.2 driver with my vega 56 and i have like 30-50 fps on the initial part of the game. that's terrible, looks like i'm playing on Console with 30fps.
is the game really that demanding or is Vega 56 a bad card for 1080p nowadays?
EDIT: even if i change to Low settings the FPS is terrible...
Try the new driver /// a few posts above someone posted a YT summary which shows better FPS in Control with the new driver.... And remember that this title is a "bought nvidia sponsorship" so it will obviously not be as optimized as on NV hardware.

Seems NV has a similar problem with the sleep...

On that clean install, what else did you install, other than OS and this one driver? What did you install to control the m/b hardware and lighting? What about monitoring / control of your cooling?

His issue is not with sleep, but not shutting down. OS isn't finalizing due to a component that simply won't quit, usually because it crashed silently. Mind you it could be a component of the driver, but I suspect another app is locking a component.
If doing a fresh install, the proper install chain would be OS, then chipset drivers, then everything else. So fresh OS install, chipset, and then GPU driver would be ideal for testing, along with disabling Defender. If it shuts down properly with this, then later does not, at least he'll know it's an app he installed afterwards.
If it does not shut down, then I'd look at BIOS power states and settings.

Simple enough to do a shutdown trace
