So.
Vulkan runtime updated to the current 1.1.77.0 which I guess is understandable with the release notes having new extensions specifically mentioned as supported in this driver.
CNext folder is gone from the app folder CCC2_Install.exe instead in the driver folder seem to be what installs Catalyst Next/Radeon Settings.
Nice quick install but for some reason the CNext software insists on finding and re-adding GTA V as a profile so that's probably coming from some registry key or something, start menu color was also off after driver install but restored after a restart of explorer.exe and that then followed with a system reboot after checking the usual (atiapfxx.exe for profiles.) so that would probably have cleared it as well.
Overdrive defaulted at +15% for some reason with these instead of 0% but the other settings as usual defaulted and were re-created, XML after saving had a different section at the end in it compared to the profile from 18.7.1 but I don't know what it's for just yet.
Doesn't really say much after all. Heh.
QTWebengineProcess.exe seems to be running as two process but I could just have missed these before, probably related to web rendering for Radeon Connect so eh, probably possible to just rename the exe same as the Radeon Overly file if one really wants to.
New files are added as well amdefctb.dat and coinst_18.30.dll (But this one just replaces the earlier coinst_18.20.dll file.)
EDIT: And the usual comparison.
Atiapfxx.exe -r -sys -s test.xml
Which uses this file (Since removed from the driver.) to convert and copy atiapfxx.blb into test.xml which is then compared against the previous driver version which would be 18.7.1
So first there's the version and build data and those numbers.
"18.30.01.01_20180802_1809
18.20.19.01_20180711_1351
So 18.30 now instead of 18.20 and a date of August 2nd for these.
And the .dll files have both AMD and Microsoft signatures so they're WHQL certified.
After that there's the OpenGL properties.
imm23updaMENS
That's been added but as usual the string doesn't really say too much on it's own.
And then we have OpenCL.
MclkDownHyst
MclkUpHyst
MclkThreshold
PowerLimit
UpHysteresis
DownHysteresis
SclkThreshold
These have been added to this section, these have some sort of name seemingly related to clocking?
(Memory, power, hystersis and shader clock was it?)
After these there's nothing until the D3D profiles and Crossfire.
Thief 2014 - Updated.
Rise of Tomb Raider - Updated. (And yes it's missing the "The" in the profile name here.)
Quake Champions - Updated.
Sea of Thieves - Updated.
And below that there's the DXX profiles.
DWM - Updated. (Microsoft Windows related.)
Battlefield 4 - Updated.
Battlefield Hardline - Updated.
Dragon Age Inquisition - Updated.
Overwatch - Updated.
Ludashi - Updated.
Titanfall 2 - Updated.
Mafia 3 - Updated.
Sea of Thieves - Updated.
Fortnite - Updated.
Evil Within 2 - Updated.
Mixed Reality Updated. (Microsoft Windows related, I think, Mixed Reality Portal.)
Maya
World
We Happy Few - These three have been added.
And below that OpenGL profiles. (Linux profiles.)
Shadow of War - Updated. (Uses the new OGL string listed above.)
And below that OpenCL
And here we have a fun little profile called "Nuke" which has the new strings from above.
0x67A0,0x00,0x06,0x28,0x67A1,0x00,0x06,0x28
0x67A0,0x00,0x06,0x05,0x67A1,0x00,0x06,0x05
0x67A0,0x00,0x06,0x10,0x67A1,0x00,0x06,0x10
0x67A0,0x00,0x06,0x96,0x67A1,0x00,0x06,0x96
0x67A0,0x00,0x06,0x01,0x67A1,0x00,0x06,0x01
0x67A0,0x00,0x06,0x0a,0x67A1,0x00,0x06,0x0a
0x67A0,0x00,0x06,0x10,0x67A1,0x00,0x06,0x10
Benchmark I guess? Or AMD's internal testing suite for overclocking and power monitoring? Who knows. :p
And next up after that is the PXDynamic profiles and HighPerfGPUAffinity which from what I remember reading long ago in a earlier driver thread someone mentioned this was for configuring games to prefer dedicated GPU's over APU's if available so here we have these additions.
Assassins's Creed Odyssey
AMD ReLive (Two profiles for two exe files.)
Adams Car 2017
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
Battlefield V
F1 2018 (Two profiles for two exe files, DX11 and DX12 in this case.)
We Happy Few
In Death VR
Madden 19 (For those who dislike football and Fifa here's one for handegg instead.)
Marvel Powers VR
Monster Hunter World
Borderlands3 (Oops, was that confirmed yet? Well it is now! ~ :p )
Skyrim SE (Joining the game exe, the launcher exe because it too needs a full GPU to power it.)
Space Junkies VR
Star Control Origins (Two profiles for two separate exe files.)
Strange Brigade (Three profiles here, DX11, DX12 and Vulkan, ALL the API support!)
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth
Last is a bunch of DXX sections pointing profiles to exe files.
Here we find Maya, World, Monster Hunter World and We Happy Few.
(These can also be linked up via Steam app ID's.)
And then even below that right at the end Nuke 11.1 as the profile for OCL or OpenCL.
EDIT: Well next up, anything notable from the INF file.
There's the registry settings under
Which well it's changing some things here and there but I see HKR,, BigSoftwareMinorVersion, %REG_DWORD%, 1 has been deleted in addition to HKR,, BigSoftwareMajorVersion, %REG_DWORD%, 1 which went out in the previous driver.
And these two were added.
HKR,, DVRInstallEligible, %REG_DWORD%, 1
HKR,, DVRAnalytics, %REG_DWORD%, 1
And for what it removes on uninstall of the driver for well we find these here.
HKLM, "Software\AMDBranding", simple_eyefinity_ui_component_NA
HKR,, KMD_BlockchainMode
And for
amdefctb.dat=1
That's the new file added.
coinst_18.30.dll=1
And that replaces coinst_18.20.dll=1 from earlier.
And I can't really see too much but there's a new 470 GPU listed in the strings as well.
AMD67DF.49 = "Radeon RX 470 Series"
Joining the existing one AMD67DF.46 = "Radeon RX 470 Series"

Graphics and memory clock speeds may remain elevated or locked while gaming if video content is also playing on the system.
Well, I can't reproduce the CGN 1.0 bug anymore in the same way I've always consistently triggered it. This driver seems to have finally fixed it.
The behavior is back to pre 16.7.2, but this also means that the driver fixes statement above doesn't apply for these cards. On a CGN 1.0 HD7870 (pre OC'd Sapphire at 1050/1200 3D on stock vbios), while playing a video that causes clocks to switch to 450/1200 or 1050/1200 (both UVD modes), or by letting chrome cause the card to idle at 450/1200, then initiating 3D content such as the GPU-Z render test will cause the card to go to 1050/1200, but that is the highest UVD clock, not the 3D clock state (same stock values on this card).
This means that any OC applied via software over the 3D clock won't be used because the card is running in the upper UVD state instead. The same will happen by launching a video on mpc-hc, leaving it playing and launching a game in (true) FS mode -- OC won't be applied because the card is in the highest UVD mode, not 3D. Can't comment on a boost card, since I haven't any to test.

Assetto Corsa seems to work just fine (nothing really changed...) however I'm not bothering with AMD Settings or ReLive this time around.
