Dice reveals Dragon Valley as the new Battlefield 4 map

Dice reveals Dragon Valley as the new Battlefield 4 map

DICE has just revealed the brand new Battlefield 4 'Classic Map', and it's Dragon Valley, the map that shipped with Battlefield 2 - which just turned 10 years old.

The map has just been released for the CTE version of the game, where it will be tested by players over the next few weeks.

The map will be a complete remake of the original, and will bring back some of the memorable features that BF2 had. It's a large map with heavy focus on vehicles. For example, the many bridges on the map can be destroyed, but they can also be repaired with the Repair Tool, as seen here. Dragon Valley should be released with the next BF4 patch, which will also include the new community map, and night versions of three current maps (Siege of Shanghai, Zavod 311, and Golmud Railway).

Common how can you favorize BF4 and BF3... The jet PANEL is acctually too huge... And unlimited ammo omfg... i really like to dogfight with airplanes+cobra in bf2. But this 2game is nothing close in it... +this new remake map is not even that wide as it was in bf2.... Fog of WAR etc. So many good things now is just game ruining effect...

Strike at Karkand, Wake island, and gulf of oman for BF4 would be EPIC! Those were my favorite maps!

Why do they always remake crappy maps, should have done a BF1942 map, Midway or Iwo Jima would be great, or Omaha, or El Alamein, basically all of them. I'd throw money at them for all the BF1942 maps.

Nice to see classic maps, but it's a reminder of BF2, the last truly great Battlefield game.

--No waste of time, money, resources shoehorning an SP story on top.
--Completely mod-able, countless high quality user maps and great mods available.
--Last BF game where SP mode was still (like bf1942) an offline version of multiplayer.

I wish they'd move back to the old way ^^ with all the new features we enjoy in BF3/BF4 (etc).
