Deus Ex: Mankind Divided PC GPU performance review updated with DX12

The DX12 patch for Deus EX is now available. From the looks of it, DX12 is not going to bring in a heaps of extra performance aside from AMD cards in 1080P and a bit in 1440P. We've obviously put that to the test and update in our Deus EX article as we have updated the Deus Ex performance review with DX12 results.

You can check Deus EX DX12 results here.

Its just a bench from a site.
The RX 480 run better with newer patch and drivers.

I'm sure if gamers test on their computers will be better,if they have the same specs.
And ofc you can have 60 fps if you put down AA or shadows or else.

Nice thread usage indeed. Though performance doesn't seem to scale for that cpu usage. So I bet most of the cpu usage actually comes from cpu's trying to read from memory, which is working overtime. Could you check what happens to you cpu usage / fps if you disabled , say 8 threads, and go for 12/24 config. Also interested to see how things would scale with different memory speeds.

In the past we haven't really seen so much difference between different memory speeds. But the more and more threads the games are starting to use, the faster ram your gonna need to run all those cores.

I don't believe it does scale for the CPU usage either, but I'm not 100% sure.

I could run low detail to see if the CPU usage reaches for the sky. It seems to be dependent on how fast the GPUs are.

I'd have to disable 6 cores to get 12C/12T.

Right now my memory is overclocked at 1250Mhz (2500Mhz effective). 15-15-15-36. Perhaps low latency will help in the future, but not right now.

Here is how this new patch affects performance

Frankly it's disappointing that Guru3D uses the DX12 build in their reviews for GPUs, especially since they only test the built-in benchmark, this is basically tricking your readership.

Yeah shame on guru3d for using a reproducable benchmark that uses the same assets and engine as the game instead of using an arbitrary portion of gameplay that is totally not the same between runs and results are therefore subjective......

By the way here are my actual real world results including frame times:

DX12 performing wonderfully, still good to see we have idiots who just a post random review sites acting like they know something though. Maybe instead of posting ignorant trash, run some benches yourself and see how it performs.

Well HH, he will fail like always. We all know who he is, no one is listening to him or even cares what he have to say.
