Nvidia is working on a new revision of their Shield series Tablets. This info was retrieved from the US based FCC, who publishes these documents openly. If the tablet will ever make it, we do not know. Multiple details however surfaced.

The new Shield tablet will be the successor to the Shield-tablet from 2014 and Tablet K1 from 2015, it has a serie number tagged as P2290W. The tablet would be 218×123×8mm (8.7″ x 5″ x 0.4″) in size which is slightly smaller to the older model at 221x126x9,2mm. But that's still roughly an 8-inch tablet. It is weighing 12.6 ounces

  • It supports 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz 802.11ac WiFi.
  • The tablet has a micro USB port.
  • There’s Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy support.
  • The tablet measures 8.6″ x 4.8″ x 0.3″ and weighs 12.3 ounces.

There is some speculation that this model can be tied to a codename called Hawkeye, which can be found on several sites with an Nvidia stamp. It is also mentioned that the tablet will be based on a Nvidia Tegra X1-soc with a screen resolution of 1920x1200, with Ipddr4 memory (3GB) and 32GB storage.

The Nvidia is having the product qualified and certified doesn't however mean it'll reach the market.
