Dell launches Ultrathin HDR 27-inch monitor (and it is Sexy!)
Dell has announced the S2718D, an Quad HD Ultrathin (6.9mm edge) monitor. The monitor offers 400 nits of brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 6ms response time. It also covers 99 percent of the sRGB color gamut, and offers a 178-degree wide viewing angle.
The monitor is QHD at a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 and supports high dynamic range (HDR) on it's IPS panel. The monitor supports USB Type-C connectivity for video, data, and power all in one cable, and a connectivity hub at the rear of the stand should keep things uncluttered. The Dell S2718D isn’t wall mountable. It has HDMI 2.0 and has a dedicated audio line out if you want to redirect the audio signal to a speaker or an amplifier. Interestingly enough, the USB C connector which can deliver up to 45W of power, which means that it should be able to charge the latest generation of laptops which come with USB C charging.

I think that's the first monitor I've ever seen that has buttons on the base.
Loving all the monitor news. I hope they announce 4k 144hz GSync at CES. Or something similar.
Well that's not going to happen, DisplayPort 1.4 (published march 2016, not readily available) only supports 4K up to 120hz and 8k at 60hz and 1.3 supports 120hz at 4K and 30hz at 8k
