DeepCool announces that it will provide free-of-charge mounting kits for AMD’s upcoming AM5 platform. This will enable customers to continue using their existing DeepCool CPU coolers on the newest generation AMD CPUs (LGA1718). Additionally, current and future DeepCool coolers will include the new mounting hardware in future.

The new processor will have a new IHS design and will feature support for DDR5 RAM and PCI-E 5.0. The AM5 socket will utilize the same mounting pattern as the AM4 socket, but there is a slight variance in the height of the installed processor. Due to the slight variance, some DeepCool coolers will need to utilize upgraded mounting hardware. To help with the transition, DeepCool is releasing mounting upgrade kits that will be compatible with AMD’s new AM5 socket. These kits will feature hardware associated with the socket and include components required to perform the installation.

In order to receive a free mounting kit customers can contact DeepCool support with proof of purchase of a compatible AM5 processor or an AM5 motherboard(X670) here. The free-of-charge mounting kits can be requested up until March 31st, 2023 or at DeepCool’s discretion. Depending on different service regions, additional charges may be incurred (*Shipping,Tariffs). Without an invoice, mounting kits will be available for purchase for EUR 5.99 (*Additional charges may apply). Users who are using DeepCool coolers can also verify if their cooler needs a kit by going to https://www.deepcool.com. There you can enter the serial number of the cooler used for verification, followed by the next steps to complete the transaction.
