It's time for the weekend update with Seth M..... oh wait, Hilbert Hagedoorn. Today an overview on some good deals on power supplies. PSUs are extremely underestimated. There's also a lot of crap out there that will make your power go sour. Here's an overview of what we think is good and affordable:
- Corsair TX CMPSU-750TX 750W - Very little can be said about Corsair when it comes to power supplies. They makes very good ones. I say always go for a PSU with a little reserve, This one is 750 Watt and just over 100 bucks at $104.99 , a really good PSU folks.
- PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad - If you can live with a little bit of noise (really .. little) then it does not get better than a PC Power & Cooling PSU. Check these things are pre-chroma tested, you even get the report included in the box. Exquisite PSUs really, they are on sal for $99.99 (!)
- BFG Tech BFGR550WGSPSU 550W - For the not so high-end savvy .. I can REALLY recommend BFG's power supplies. This one is great for a mid-range PC, and only costs you $44.99
- OCZ Technology StealthXStream 600W - Again great value for money. You could even do mid-range SLI/Crossfire with this one. 600 Watt at $59.99
- OCZ Technology GameXStream 850W - For a little more funk and style, check out this one from OCZ, selling at $189.96, fairly high-end and capable of a lot.
That's it for this update, if you guys celebrate it, have a great Easter !
Update: Spotted some of the latest release graphics cards .. check it out if interested:
- GeForce GTS 250 512MB DDR3 - This one from Galaxy sells at only $119.99
- BFG Technologies GeForce GTX 275 - Soeweet with 896MB memory, great card great price at $249.99
- Radeon HD 4890 1024MB - This is the HIS edition we tested ... really great overclock potential as well, selling for $229.99
