Cyberpunk 2077 runs 30 FPS with ray tracing and DLSS in 8K on RTX 3090
The news on Cyberpunk 2077 does not stop, today an item that falls a bit more in the fun category. You've all seen the benchmarks here on Guru3D; the game is brutal.
The game now also has been tested on 8K with a GeForce RTX 3090, and we've all heard NVIDIA say it, this game makes 8K gaming possible. When DLSS is switched on, the deep learning supersampling technique, a playable frame rate of an average of 31, is achieved. Disabling ray tracing also does not make a huge difference, then the frame rate rises to 38. We should add that this is a factory overclocked RTX 3090 as well.
It is interesting to observe that playing the game in this high resolution demands the maximum from the video memory. The game takes up 21GB of the graphics memory without ray tracing, and with ray tracing, almost the maximum that is available. Below the results courtesy of TT.

Not necessarily AMD fanboys, but more precisely, simply luddites. Professing their everlasting love for fake graphics with laughable attempts at reflections, with inaccurate lightning and illogical shadows.
Me I don't know how I'm ever going back to non-RT games. Once seen RT can not be unseen, everything else looks stupid in comparison. If DLSS is the price I got to pay, I say YES PLEASE - I hope every game "fails" in graphics as CB2077 has failed.

lol.
i dont need RT in a 3rd person arcade shoot em up, so stating "every" lopks stupid without it is utter BS.
outside the fact that not everyone has the same preference, not everyone plays the same games, uses the same res, or even has an ecosystem that is able to make proper use of a +300$ gpu with RT ability.
and non of the games i played in the last 45y were any less fun cause thei weren't running in 4k@120hz with rt on a 98in 8k tv,
you know, cause anything below 75in isnt a real gaming moni...

What made you think that I am talking about "everyone's preference"?
Does this looks like a matter of fact or a personal preference statement?

Are "Me" ^^ and the arbitrary "stupid" ^^ not sufficiently dead giveaways that it's the later? Or do I really need to prefix everything with IMHO?

Feel sorry for some of you obvious AMD fanboys. DLSS is also the difference between 120fps and 165fps (1080p) and my god is it smooth.
