Cyberpunk 2077 hotfix Patch Prevents Corrupt Savegames

A day or so ago we reported that Cyberpunk 2077 has issues with savegames getting corrupt, due to an 8MB file-size limitations, which corrupted them.



Save games that are already corrupt cannot be restored. But a new hotfix is available now preventing that. Hotfix 1.06 also appears for the console versions of the game, although those versions do not have to do with corrupt savegames. According to CD Projekt RED, version 1.06 for consoles includes improved memory management and stability, which should result in fewer crashes.

It is a hotfix, a quick update that has been released to solve the problem with the savegames. CD Project RED has promised several major updates to fix bugs and improve stability.\

Dum Dum will no longer go missing from Totentanz entrance during Second Conflict.

Console-specific

Improved memory management and stability, resulting in fewer crashes.

PC-specific

Removed the 8 MB save file size limit. Note: this won’t fix save files corrupted before the update.
