And that's been ongoing for four weeks now. Cyberpunk 2077 has seen a significant revivalin recent weeks, fueled by the premiere of Netflix's anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

It does not appear that interest in CD Projekt RED's open-world action-RPG will wane anytime soon. Last month, the developer stated that Cyberpunk 2077 has been played by over a million people per day for a week, and it looks that trend has continued. The studio just revealed on Twitter that the game had had a million active players every day for four weeks in a row. It is safe to state that the game has a thriving and engaged player base. Of course, with the Phantom Liberty expansion set to arrive next year, one can expect a significant boost in player count at that time. Cyberpunk 2077 had already sold over 20 million units globally as of the end of September.

CD Projekt also recently stated that work on Project Orion, a successor to Cyberpunk 2077 that a different team will create, will begin soon.

1 million active players each day for four weeks in a row - Night City sure is thriving!
