Cyberpunk 2077 had a massive 8 million pre-orders

That Cyberpunk 2077 caught a lot of attention was abundantly clear, but as it seems it is now the best selling title with no less than 8 million people that pre-ordered the game.

Last night CD Projekt even passed one million simultaneous players on Steam alone. CD Projekt's Investor Relations Twitter account shared some very interesting facts about the launch of Cyberpunk, revealing that the title sold 8 million copies in advance. Yeah, that time say 60 USD; Oh hello!

Furthermore, it was reported that of those eight million units, 59% were sold on PC (Steam, Epic, and GoG), while the rest were sold to console gamers. 74% of its copies were sold through the digital store, which makes sense in the digital era and well, COVID19.

33.3% purchases should be refunded or else 1/3. It is a flop compared to W3 considering the time they've taken to prepare this. People expected more after so many delays and money. They were asked from their fanbase to provide an almost perfect product due to hype.
