Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 next-gen versions confirmed by CDPR
Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will receive free next-generation improvements in late 2021, according to CD Projekt Red, assuring users who had been looking forward to them and worried about a 2022 release date being pushed back.
Towards the end of this year, CD Projekt RED wants to deliver the free next-generation upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077, which is meant for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. This may be a fantastic opportunity to introduce new players to Cyberpunk 2077, a game that is still beset by difficulties and glitches at the time of writing. In order to take advantage of the new consoles' capabilities and help elevate their status a little, the PS5 and Xbox Series are currently running on the PS4 and Xbox One versions, respectively, which left a lot to be desired. The game was removed from the PlayStation Store after a disastrous launch, but it has since been restored to the store.
CD Projekt Red has been working tirelessly to bring the title up to date and more in line with the promises made in the previous trailer. Perhaps major changes to the game's structure will be included in the next-generation edition, resulting in a more satisfying experience on consoles.
The Witcher 3, on the other hand, continues to be a popular game, and this updated version will allow anyone who haven't played it yet to do so in stunning high-definition graphics, as well as those who want to relive the experience. Also announced was that CD Projekt Red was working on a free DLC pack inspired by the critically acclaimed Netflix adaptation, which might be included in the game's future next-gen launch.
It will be interesting to see whether CD Projekt Red provides any additional information about these planned releases, as the company has not provided much information on the material they will contain. We'll keep you informed as events unfold.

The new consoles will allow the game to run better due to the extra ommph they have, hence making it look like CP2077 is now fixed, so they can now sell it at next gen prices. lol

You read the article right??
It's literally as clear as black and white....
Obviously I understood it, hence having the ability to inform someone else of said fact. All I'm saying is that the article could've led with that fact, or even have the headline say it. Instead of calling it "next-gen versions", just call it "next-gen console versions", and there would be no possible confusion. Its always good to have all key information available right away.
Otherwise, who knows if they plan another next-gen update for Witcher 3, which would be great? No, its just the same thing for consoles.
