Crytek VR Game The Climb - Video

Crytek has released a new 360deg video for its upcoming VR game, The Climb. In this video, players can click on the arrows in the video's upper left hand corner or drag the cursor across the screen and check out the full panorama of our Alps setting as the camera rises through a game world stretching across 100 km of virtual space.

Preview the ascent in our Alps climbing playground – the largest single environment we have created in CRYENGINE – with our 360-degree video.

Looks great. :) Can't wait till VR has stabilized. It feels like it is still in the early adoption phase.

Impressive looking.

But as a dabbler in rock climbing I kinda don't see the point in this game, or rather how it will work.

Looks good overall, but I wonder how distant horizont will look in VR, it seems to be mostly flat texture? Also could be a bit sharper overall, looks a bit blurry. Probably to improve performance and better visually blend 3d and 2d parts of world.
