Corsair To Release 4000D AIRFLOW chassis with advanced cable management
Corsair is preparing to release the 4000D chassis, aimed at mid-range gaming desktops, and we have the first photos. The mid-tower will allow the use of ATX motherboards and it has an innovative RapidRoute cable management system with fixed cable ties.
The chassis has seven expansion cards. The graphics card can be mounted vertically. The chassis will provide the flexibility to form an air or liquid cooling system. In the second case, it is possible to use cooling radiators up to 360 mm. The top panel features a USB 3.x Type-A port, a USB Type-C connector, and a combined audio jack. The novelty will be offered in four modifications: these are options with a “blank” and a mesh front panel, for each of which there are black and white-gray colors.
- Combining innovative cable management, concentrated airflow, and proven CORSAIR build quality, the 4000D is a fitting choice for an immaculate high-performance PC.
- The RapidRoute cable management system makes it simple and fast to route your major cables through a single channel, with a roomy 25mm of space behind the motherboard for all of your cables.
- Includes two 120mm AirGuide fans, utilizing anti-vortex vanes to concentrate airflow and enhance cooling.
- A spacious interior fits up to 6x 120mm or 4x 140mm cooling fans, along with multiple radiators including 360mm in front and 280mm in the roof (dependent on RAM height).
- Put modern connections within easy reach with a front I/O panel including a USB 3.1 Type-C Port, USB 3.0 port, and a combination audio/microphone jack.
The CORSAIR 4000D AIRFLOW is a mid-tower ATX case with easy cable management and exceptional cooling. A steel front panel offers optimal airflow to your components, accompanied by two included 120mm AirGuide fans designed with anti-vortex vanes that enhance cooling. The CORSAIR RapidRoute cable management system makes it effortless to route major cables through a single channel, with 25mm of routing depth.

I think it looks quite nice !
Not that many white cases to pick from... so more option is good.

I have Fractal R6 and see this one has similar issue as mine - too tight between motherboard (RAM) and top mounted AIO. I have few mm as here.
Not sure what is problem moving motherboard 5 - 10 mm down.

I ran into the same issue with the 280X. With my top rad and fans in place it was impossible to mount the mobo. The mounting points need to be moved down as you mentioned but the top mounting area for your fans and such also needs to be able to accommodate mounting your rad a bit farther away from the motherboard as well too.
Corsair cases seem to work great for people that intend on keeping their build within Corsair's branded ecosystem I guess, but I really think these designs are lacking compared to what they used to offer.

100% with you, there are so many cases that suffer with that poor engineering, I also don't see what is the big deal to just make the case 2 inches taller, not everyone wants an AIO mounted in the front not to mention that it is not an optimal way to distribute air inside the case. Corsair kind of pioneered tall and big cases in a consumer level with plenty of clearance, still using my 800D for that, but I guess they are now fighting for that super budget market under $100 and RGBs are more important than functionality

Kind of feel like some cases are taking a step back in aesthetics. I'm sure this one has good functionality, but still.
