Corsair Partners with Deep Silver on METRO EXODUS

Corsair Partners with Deep Silver on METRO EXODUS

Corsair today announced a partnership with major video game publisher Deep Silver and developer 4A Games, bringing custom PC and peripheral lighting integration to the highly anticipated game METRO EXODUS with CORSAIR iCUE software.

METRO EXODUS is a sprawling, story-driven first-person shooter developed by 4A Games that blends pulse-pounding combat and stealth with exploration and survival horror, creating one of the most engaging in-game worlds ever seen. For the first time ever, METRO players will leave the underground tunnels of post-apocalyptic Moscow to lead a band of Spartan Rangers on an incredible, continent-spanning journey across the radioactive ruins of Russia.

METRO EXODUS players on PC will be able to experience a whole new level of in-game immersion utilizing the full ecosystem of iCUE-compatible RGB products, which will dynamically react as the gameplay unfolds. CORSAIR iCUE software connects all your compatible products together in a single interface, bringing your system to life with vivid, synchronized RGB lighting.

CORSAIR has worked closely with developer 4A Games throughout the development of METRO EXODUS to create in-game interactions that go beyond standard PC lighting. From warning you of radiation hazards with creeping green lighting, to alerting you of being spotted by enemies by flashing red, these effects have a meaningful impact on gameplay as your CORSAIR peripherals and components dynamically respond with animated lighting.

To celebrate the partnership, CORSAIR will be offering North American gamers a first look at both METRO EXODUS, and its all-new CORSAIR VENGEANCE Gaming PC, at PAX West in Seattle, from August 31st - September 2nd. CORSAIR VENGEANCE Gaming PCs are fully designed and developed by CORSAIR, featuring the best from CORSAIR’s range of high-end PC hardware and deep iCUE integration. Visit CORSAIR at Booth #2101 and see for yourself the difference iCUE can make to your games.

“Since debuting in-game lighting integration in CORSAIR iCUE earlier this year, our users have been passionate in their requests for future supported titles,” said Andy Paul, Founder and CEO of CORSAIR. “We are thrilled to bring an unparalleled level of immersion to one of next year’s most anticipated titles, and enhance yet another top-tier PC title with iCUE in-game lighting integration.”

“CORSAIR iCUE dynamic lighting allows us to go beyond the game and right into the player’s setup to bring a whole new level of immersion to METRO EXODUS,” said Klemens Kundratitz, COO of Deep Silver’s parent company Koch Media. “We jumped at the chance to partner with CORSAIR to turn our players’ systems into powerhouses of immersive visual feedback.”

Further details of the implementation and integration of CORSAIR iCUE lighting into METRO EXODUS will be announced in the coming months. METRO EXODUS launches worldwide on February 22, 2019. Players can pre-order METRO Exodus now from www.metrothegame.com/preorder.

you fire a shot, all your keyboard, mouse, mouse-pad, case, CPU cooler, fans and memory, light up....I say this is more impressive than RTX in-game ray-tracing

I hate this crap. Far Cry 5 did it and it was annoying AF having my keyboard flash an American flag. Thankfully there's an option to disable in the game, which I'll be doing for Metro before changing any other settings. Leave my keyboard colors alone.

I glad that they are adding icue to more games as i enjoy the lighting effects when they work, I just hope they will work like how diablo 3 does it, where you press an skill button and it lights back up when the skill is reusable. The far cry 5 one I didn't like that much as it only worked with my mouse since my keyboard isn't corsair, but my H150i pro is, but sadly it only supported mouse and keyboard.

@BananaRepublik go into the corsair software suite and go into settings and disable the Enable SDK check box. When you do games will no longer use there custom Lighting settings such as farcry 5 would no longer cause your keyboard or mouse to do the American flag, meaning your custom keyboard RGB won't be changed.

This also applies to razer and logitech as well as thats what the enable SDK check box does, is to allow games to apply there custom effects when your playing games.

I have to agree it is gimmicky crap, but kids will love it.

Ah, hell no. Give me Ray Tracing every day over this.
