Corsair is to launch a new high-speed storage drive called the MP700. This NVMe 2.0 M.2 SSD boasts sequential read speeds of up to 10 GB/s and sequential write speed of up to 9.5 GB/s, making it one of the fastest SSDs on the market.

Corsair hinted at its MP700 storage solution long before it was the hottest thing in the world (literally, as all these SSDs seem to need active cooling with a fan). The MP700 is compatible with the latest PCIe 5.0 compatible motherboard platforms, including those from AMD and Intel. It uses 3D TLC NAND and features a large aluminum heatsink that includes an integrated SSD fan. This drive promises to deliver speeds that are up to 40% faster than its predecessor and also supports Microsoft DirectStorage technology, enabling faster load times in games. The video got pulled btw.

Experience the performance of PCIe Gen5 storage in your system, with up to 10,000MB/sec sequential read and 9,500MB/sec sequential write speeds for amazingly fast save, boot, and load times.

The high-bandwidth NVMe 2.0 interface and high-density 3D TLC NAND flash memory offer outstanding performance and longevity. Slot the MP700 directly into your motherboard thanks to its M.2 2280 form-factor, while a stylish aluminum heatsink helps manage temperatures and reduce throttling. Microsoft DirectStorage enables unprecedented load times when playing compatible games.

Only the latest AM5 based platform from AMD and the Intel Z790 series of motherboards are capable of fully utilizing this standard. While Corsair has not yet announced a release date or pricing for the MP700, the fact that a teaser video has been released suggests that an official launch may be imminent. However, no further details such as IOPS figures have been released at this time.

Update 14/4:

MP700 NVMe SSD with 2TB Capacity - Corsair has unveiled the MP700 NVMe SSD, featuring impressive sequential speeds and high random read and write speeds of up to 1.5 and 1.7 million IOPS, respectively (QD32 IOMeter). The product page now reveals further specifications such as a power consumption of up to 11 watts and a lifespan of 1,400 terabytes written (TBW). The suggested retail price for the 2TB version is €330,-
