Later this year, Intel's Raptor Lake architecture will compete with AMD Raphael CPUs and Ryzen 7000 CPUs, the performance of the top-of-the-line Core i9-13900K CPU could be up to 15% quicker than the present top-of-the-line CPU, the Core i9-12900K.



With a single thread, Intel's Raptor Lake Core i9-13900K might give 15% faster performance than the Core i9-12900K and 35% faster performance than AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. The most recent performance rumor comes from none @OneRaichu, who was rather correct in his assessment of Alder Lake's performance. The leaker said Intel's forthcoming Core i9-13900K could score above 2300 points on Geekbench 5.

Core i9-12900K Alder Lake CPU has a score of over 2,000, while the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X CPU has a score of roughly 1,700. Using those results as a baseline, you'll see a performance boost of up to 15% compared to the Alder Lake CPU and a 35% improvement compared to the CPU with Zen 3 design. Not at all a bad thing for Intel.

Everyone is probably asking how this score compares to AMD's next Raphael-codenamed Zen 4 CPUs. Ryzen 7000 desktop CPUs are predicted to give a single-thread performance boost of roughly 15%, possibly 16-19%. Based on this finding, we receive a score of roughly 1800-1900 points, implying that Zen 3 chips would be slightly slower than Alder Lake CPUs in single-threaded performance, whereas Raptor Lake may be up to 20% faster.
