Core i7 "Ivy Bridge-E" Prices Leak
Intel is prepping slowly but steadily to release their upcoming Core i7 "Ivy Bridge-E" processors. According to latest data, Intel will release in September 10 no less than three Ivy Bridge-E processors namely the Core i7-4960X, Core i7-4930K and Core i7-4820K. Ivy Bridge E can be used on Intel X79 socket 2011 based motherboards, even the older ones albeit they all will need a BIOS update.
The six-core 15MB Smart Cache, 3.6GHz clock Core i7-4960X Price will be $ 990 (NT $ 29,650 million); Core i7-4930K clocked at 3.4GHz and 12MB Smart Cache, the price is $ 555 (NT $ 16,622 million); the quad-core Core i7-4820K is clocked at 3.7GHz and has 10MB Smart Cache, its price at $ 310 (NT $ 9,284 million) .

Well since it's basically a just a refresh of course it's not a big leap, but I too hope that Haswell-E will bring on serious horsepower when it launches. That's what I'd like to upgrade to.

The 4930K looks like the sweet spot there. The 4960X is overpriced as usual, and the 4820k probably won't offer much over a 4770K.
