Core i3 8300 with Four Cores and Eight Threads Spotted
We've stated a couple of times already that AMD is stirring up the market on every segment with a processor. The recent Ryzen 3 series for example are all quad-core processors, historically Intel always outted a 2-core model. Until now.
It seems Intel is prepping a Core i3-8300, as it has been spotted on Chinese forums with a screenshot, The interesting thing here is that it is a quad-core with hyper threading. this a 4:8 configuration. And that would be a direct response to AMDs Ryzen 3 alright, check the screenshots, as spotted by through the Anandtech forums at NGA.
Double the amount of cores/threads of the current Core i3 lineup if true (at least higher end models). That's Core i7-6700K level performance (if true).

I think this rumored i3 would be more like a rebrand rather than a genuine case of technology moving forward. In this case, people might get pissed. Just imagine how Titan XP customers would feel if Nvidia rebranded it to a 1080 Ti and slashed the price massively... oh, wait
Really because I bought a 1070 for half the price of a 980Ti a year and a half later. I didn't see 980ti owners getting pissed. It's the tech industry two years and the performance you have is half the price comes with the territory.

Yet the only people that were "mad" about that would never buy a Titan or in some cases an Nvidia card.

If this is not fake, it is the INTEL showing that explored users with overpriced products(now tell the news), and yet the "loyal to the brand" will say that Intel is the best of all and we need to ignore AMD, after all, AMD has finally begun to ensure a competitive market.
If that is true, I will still feel a huge desire to trade my i7 for an AMD in the next upgrade, and not allow the market to be destroyed again by the monopoly and disrespect to the general public with artificially elitist values.
I do not see anything good in the ethical sense, but of course for those who have not yet upgraded it would be great.
And of course some "loyal to the brand" will respond that "everything is right, everything is normal, this is how the market works, if you are poor, buy AMD.
Luckily Apple does not monopolize the market (I'm not talking about design)

Exactly. All the anger came from the usual suspects that go out of their way to turn any article into a negative one if it's about either nVidia or Intel. If Intel solved world hunger, they'd be complaining about all the thousands of aid workers who are out of a job because Intel monopolized feeding the worlds hungry.

Intel is a monopolist and the company sits on things until it's forced to pull them out and compete, or it senses a way to further monopolize the markets, like it saw (incorrectly) with Rdram and Itanium. Intel didn't do x86-64 (Core 2) until after Intel licensed x86-64 from AMD in one of their cross-licensing deals. IIRC, AMD got the Pentium bus (original Pentium) but had no use for it and never used it, interestingly enough. (I remember Jerry Sanders commenting on that long ago...
