Cooler Master Announces Support for AMD Ryzen Threadripper and Socket TR4

Cooler Master announces support for AMD Ryzen Threadripper and Socket TR4 for its all-in-one liquid CPU coolers with a mounting kit (RL-TR4B-MLLS-R1). The list of coolers includes: MasterLiquid 240, 120, ML240L RGB, ML120L RGB, Lite 240 and Lite 120.

AMD’s latest HEDT CPUs offers up to 16 cores and 32 threads which reaches up to 180 watt TDP with the flagship 1950X. This processor requires top notch cooling technology to tame its unprecedented performance, which makes Cooler Master’s dual chamber cooling used in the popular MasterLiquid models a perfect option. This is possible with the unique cooling process which isolates the heated coolant from the cooled to maximize the results of the cooling of the processor.

Cooler Master continues to work closely with AMD to provide extensive cooling and exclusive software support for the AMD Ryzen platforms that includes the Ryzen 3, 5 and 7. Users can sync their lighting effects for their AMD Wraith Max Cooler using Cooler Master’s software.

Compatible cooling:

  • MasterLiquid 240
  • MasterLiquid 120
  • MasterLiquid Lite 120
  • MasterLiquid ML240L RGB: coming soon
  • MasterLiquid ML120L RGB: coming soon
  • MasterLiquid Lite 240: coming soon

better change that circular copper block with rectangular one but i guess they need to sell anything they got ha!

It will cover the die area. People's understanding of heat transfer is lacking it seems.

The more contact space the more cooler the cpu gets ! so I would agree to change the coolers shape .

Hey looks, its more people who don't understand how heat transfer works.

Tell me, if Hilbert, you know, the guy who does reviews for this website, states:

"I can touch the area not covered by the heatsink, and it's cool"(not exact words, as i don't recall which thread he shared that in)

What, EXACTLY, do you think is going to be transferring, heatwise, to a larger block? Cold? Considering its cool to the touch, what could POSSIBLY transfer, heat wise?
