Computex 2017: Cooler Master HAF Back in Da House

Computex 2017: Cooler Master HAF Back in Da House

Who remembers them, the HAF series? Both hated and loved for its looks. Well, Cooler Master is introducing the MasterCase H500P. Yes the naming changes, but when you look at the pictures you will recognize that HAF feel, look and them references.

So the first thing you'll notice, this chassis isn't called a HAF. True that, however Cooler Master merged this series into the MasterCase, e.g.  MasterCase H500P. The H in the H500P is actually the reference for HAF.

The H500P will get some exquisite features, look at the VGA riser for example, or what about the huge fans up in the front. Here again Cooler Master seems to be pursuing RGB LED activity. How far that will extend to the H500P is not 100% sure yet as once again you are looking at a prototype product. It is however on track for a Q3 maybe Q4 release and will be prices very aggressive at a 149 euro price marker.

Before I'll let you dive into the photos a tip, look at the right side panel where you can see some seriously interesting cable management, yes you can make use of embedded shielding to tuck away the wires. Both sides will get a see-through side panel. Nice huh?

Now before you run off after looking at the photos, browse downwards and be sure to check the thumbnails. There are a number of upcoming, prototype and 'trial' chassis to be spotted in the photo carousel. Cooler Master is clearly changing and adapting to market demand again, as with the previous MasterCase series they had narrowed down in diversity, and perhaps has been offering a too enthusiast series chassis. The upcoming line up is a top to bottom series starting at 40 bucks. Have a peek.

The HAF X was the worst case I have ever owned. So hard to take apart and clean, no regard for ergonomics, overpriced, too few fans included, limited fan options and somehow despite it's size and even when I had all fan slots occupied, both my gpu and cpu had +5-8c compared to the $59 Antec 300 mid size case I had before it...absolute garbage. Now I have a Phantek Enthoo Luxe, problem solved.

lol thats rather funny because my 932 has stellar airflow. i dont see how the X has limited fan options or quite frankly how you critique its ergonomics when it has a ton of open working space inside & toolless clips etc.

the HAF series had great features at perfectly reasonable pricing considering the competitions offerings & respective prices. im glad to see it return, modernized.
