Computex 2017: ASUS Main Press Conference New Zen And Vivobooks
As stated Computex isn’t starting today, but there is a press conference to attend. Which would be ASUS with a generic series of announcements. In this topic their all new Zen and VivoBooks being announced today.
The good stuff for the Guru3D reader base will actually shows at another press-conference tomorrow in the evening, ASUS is hosting an ROG event with a number of announcements. The theme for the press-event from ASUS is the Edge and Beyond, not infinity ;) ASUS today intros a number of new Zenbooks with the keyword being Nano, and none means small bezels. Eye-catching is the new ZenBook Flip S, a convertible that is 10,9mm thick. Also also Asus releases a ZenBook Pro woth uhd screen powered by a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.
The ZenBook Flip S is nice, it comes with a 13.3" UHD screen and nice thin 6.11mm screen edges. ASUS claims a screen-to-body ratio of 80 percent. This convertible is just 10.9mm thick with a weight at 1.1 kilograms. Asus embeds a fingerprint sensor to the side of this unit. There will be many options I am sure, but these units will get up-to Core i7 processors, up to 1TB ssd storage and up to 16GB (lp)ddr3 ram. Pricing starts at USD 1099.
ASUS also offers a ZenBook 3 Deluxe. This 14" laptop will be 12.9mm thick and weighs in at 1.1 kilograms. This unit comes with a back-lit keyboard, and glass based touch-pad. ASUS is using Harman Kardon into everything and thus four speakers with higher volume and quality have been embedded. There will be Core i5 and i7 models again with up-to 1TB ssd storage and 16GB DRAM. You´ll also get two usb type C ports with Thunderbolt 3 support. Pricing is set at $1199.
Next in line, the Asus 15.6" Ultra HD screen based ZenBook Pro, it is 18.9mm thick and is just under 2kg with its 1.8 kg weight. The unit will see Intel Core i5 or i7 quad-core procs from the H Series and is fitted with a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. Battery life is advertised at 14 hours and the unit costs $1299
It's not all Zen, there is Vivo as well with the new VivoBooks, as they released two of them. The VivoBook S means thin as well as a relatively light to carry around mainstream laptop. The 15.6" Full HD laptop is 17.9mm thick and weighs in at 1.5 kg, it comes with an aluminum casing. You can choose Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, optionally with a GeForce 940MX video card. Storage is flexible but maxes out at a 2TB hdd combined with a 512GB ssd. The VivoBook starting price is $499.
The VivoBook Pro has a little more power to offer and comes fitted with an array of options like Core i5 and i7 quad core processor models and a GeForce GTX 1050. Storage capacities are similar at a max 2TB-hdd and 512GB-ssd. From the top of my head, Intel Optane memory is supported and likely an option as well. The 15.6" laptop gets an UHD resolution and weighs in at 2.2kg. The starting price is $799.
Right I have a wide array of photos. it was a bit of a mess at the press-conference as ASUS tried to fit like 500 people into a room that fits like 250 folks. Hence the 'other people cameras in the photo' kind of photos :)

AMD is too slow to release the APU. There's no Ryzen with an iGPU available, so there won't be mobile devices with Ryzen.

Logo is Ryzen logo. I do hope that it is 12~13" notebook with Ryzen APU. But chances are that it is actually Ryzen CPU with dGPU of sorts.
Either way it is Ryzen, and it is notebook.

Those guys should rather deliver some nice RyZenBooks. If I wanted intel chip, I would have it as there are practically thousands of configurations.
