Comet Lake Core i3-10100 Desktop CPU Benchmark Surfaces - Has Hyper threading

Comet Lake Core i3-10100 Desktop CPU Benchmark Surfaces - Has Hyper threading

For years things in the processor market have been a bit, may I say dull? with intel on the consumer desktop processor front. AMD certainly changed that. The latest news is now that Core i3 processors seem to get hyper-threading, historically that has been a big no for Intel aside from some dual-core parts.

A SiSoft Sandra benchmark leaked and shows the tenth-generation Comet Lake Core i3 processor .... with Hyper-Threading. The recent benchmark tests a Core i3-10100 (14nm) that has four cores and eight threads, making it the first quadcore multithreading i3 for the desktop. The current i3 generation does not yet support multithreading.  @TUM_APISAK certainly spends a lot of time on the web, digging up the (good) dirt. And indeed the benchmark shows the i3 at four cores and eight threads at a speed of 3.6 GHz (early engineering sample is likely). The Core i3 gets listed at 6MB of L3 cache and 1MB of L2 cache

Intel seems to be enabling SMT in order to compete with the Ryzen series, AMD offers 99% of their processors with SMT enabled as well as being unlocked.

I bet if AMD went under we would still have quad core i7's for 400$.
