Colorful iGame GTX 1080 Ti - Moving From RGB LEDs to Color LCD
Colorful, an Asia region targeted company selling graphics cards and motherboards, will be introducing something new and refreshing for their enthusiast class iGame GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
Where everybody else is sticking to RGB LEDS, they are making a move to a small color LCD screen on the top of the card. Now granted, embedding a few RGB LEDs would overall not add much more of a price premium compared to a color LCD screen on top of an already very expensive product. But that LCD screen certainly is refreshing to see.
The LCD will display the GPU clock speed and even a small a graph. That graph might be either a temperature or load indicator, we think it's temperature though. The photo however is just a render.

If it show useful info like temps, speed etc. why the hell not? Unless it adds ridiculous amount to price then no.

a board like that should be the only lights coming from a vga....now to train your cat to tell you what its reading while you game ljajaja
but don't stop there also have +/- voltage buttons for core and ram plus fan control +/- oh and be able to set clocks and other limits and or settings.then it would be pretty cool like that asus thing that comes with the $600 motherboards.evga has that thingy too most found software is more easy then bios flashing for every new thing
msi tried something like that years ago...was crappy then they got ali so they did not need the hardware as much lol
I think now is the time to really do something like that with a control card.shove a probe in its butt and tada ready to go. market it as "total control" I mean jeez we pay enough for vga's these days they would sell for $1k
the real money making deal would to put them on your "300 dollar" card charge 450 and boom big money
we need something like a msi hawk card mid range with tri voltage and ln2 switches (but one that don't blow up @1.34v) now that's what the people want

Yet again a page that is filled with absolute negativity for no reason at all.
Good job forums, good job. not negativity, its wasted resources for something INSIDE your case what does it mater what it look like? unless all you do is show off the inside of your case.
I can see monitor show GPU temp as usefull but beyond that just a waste especial led lights
Society is obsessed with looks. which bleed into the tech section, how vain can humaity get??

I really don't see the point of this. I like knowing the temp, fan rpm, clocks, etc of my GPU, but why would I want that displayed on the side of the card instead of on my monitor?

Appears to be a practical use of lights and colors, idea welcome.
