Colorful iGame GTX 1080 Ti - Moving From RGB LEDs to Color LCD

Colorful iGame GTX 1080 Ti - Moving From RGB LEDs to Color LCD

Colorful, an Asia region targeted company selling graphics cards and motherboards, will be introducing something new and refreshing for their enthusiast class iGame GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

Where everybody else is sticking to RGB LEDS, they are making a move to a small color LCD screen on the top of the card. Now granted, embedding a few RGB LEDs would overall not add much more of a price premium compared to a color LCD screen on top of an already very expensive product. But that LCD screen certainly is refreshing to see.

The LCD will display the GPU clock speed and even a small a graph. That graph might be either a temperature or load indicator, we think it's temperature though. The photo however is just a render.

Some people do care about aesthetics and there's clearly a market for it.

Could not agree more. That's why we need to put an end to this ridiculous trend of making our GPU's look like xmas trees.

Well you can always spray-paint your card if you are not happy with the way it looks. I think its cool also.

Pretty soon we're gonna need a secondary GPU just to drive the amount of RGB LEDs they're putting on these things 0.o

Yet again a page that is filled with absolute negativity for no reason at all.

Good job forums, good job.

They can't win, they release a plain card with a normal cooler and everyone will say it looks fugly, they release something with led's or something like this and everyone cries who cares about aesthetics, what's wrong with a little bling? I like to look at my computer, I spent enough time building and configuring it, for those who complain just don't buy it, simple enough.
