ColorFire shows Radeon HD 6790 Graphics Card

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 04/04/2011 10:24 AM | source: | 0 comment(s)
Due for a release tomorrow ColorFire decided to skip the NDA and release some photo's of the upcoming Radeon HD 6790 Graphics Card. ColorFire's card needs just one 6-pin power connector, contradicting reports that the reference HD 6790 needs two.

Based on a 4+1 phase VRM and standard chokes and MOSFETs we see a simple design. The cooler uses an aluminum fin heatsink to which heat is fed by three heat pipes. Anyway, check out some of the photos that surfaces through ex-preview.
