Remasters are the keyword for 2020, and cheap and easy way to re-release a game. The two popular skating games Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 return in a new version for the current consoles and PC. These are remastered, where the games have been brought to a modern level graphically.

All levels, skaters and tricks from the original parts ( Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 appeared in 1999 and 2001 respectively) return in the updated versions. Most of the old soundtrack is also present in the games.

However, some updates have been made in these versions. These include additions from later parts in the Tony Hawk series, such as tricks and multiplayer modes. This makes it possible to play against each other online and in split screen on the couch. Players can also build skate parks themselves. These levels can then be shared with others online. It is also possible to design and dress your own skater, or opt for a well-known pro skater, such as Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek or Rodney Mullen.

The old skate games were modernized by the studio Vicarious Visions, which previously made remasters of Crash Bandicoot, among others . On September 4, the games will go on sale in one package for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The price is not known yet. Set for release, September 4, 2020.
