Cinebench R20 download taken offline after legal threat from Maxon
We have been happy to report that Maxon released a new revision of its CineBench benchmark Release 20. Unfortunately, Maxon has made a legal threat against Guru3D.com and is forcing us to take the Cinebench R20 download offline.
Maxon Computer GmBh will only allow the download of Cinebench R20 through UWP (Microsoft Store). Though we strongly feel that this is a community tool which belongs in the public domain we obviously totally need to respect what the publisher deems appropriate for them. It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is.
You can download Cinebench R20 through the Microsoft Store through this link.

How on earth did you manage to rip out the store from 1803?!
I'm aware of special versions of 1607 and 1809 but I didn't know you could remove it from Pro.
Honestly I can't say if it's completely removed or disable since my OS is heavily edited either via GroupPolicy, reg, commands, services and Shut O&O etc and I don't remember if I removed/disabled it via group policies or reg edits or maybe a tool like shut O&O.
Funny story, a year or so ago, I was so bored the for a few days, I edited or went through EVERY Group Policy in W10Pro. I mean every, single, one, related to performance/security. Some irrelevant ones, I skipped after a quick look of course. :p
Btw here's a topic on it on MS technet forums in case anyone is interested. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/a8405957-5025-427e-9405-331b1a8dde21/uninstall-or-disable-the-microsoft-store

But yeah, these news comes at not surprise since it was a WStore release so obviously some deals must have been made with MS.
Unfortunately irrelevant, but I assume that Microsoft is a more appetizing partner than some PC enthusiast websites. Ah well, it's their software and their call to make, that's all there is to it.
And I thought the PC games scene had it bad with exclusivity drama. Lol MS store. There's already downloads on reputable sites for a portable version not reliant on the Store so it's a bigger fail in my eyes. I'm holding on to a copy for safe keeping :p Nadella can go cry in a corner.
I don't even have Windows Store on my W10 1803. :p
