Cherry Releases KC 6000 SLIM: Extra Flat Design Keyboard

Cherry Releases KC 6000 SLIM: Extra Flat Design Keyboard

Cherry introduces the KC 6000 SLIM, a flat keyboard with a modern design, focused on style-conscious users. The keyboard combines a robust construction with a smart feature set, which makes the KC 6000 SLIM not just a durable, but also a very functional and visually attractive solution for everyday use.

The new CHERRY KC 6000 SLIM is particularly impressive due to its extra-flat construction and its modern design. As a result, the keyboard looks great on the desktop of style-conscious users. The low height, only 1.5 centimeters at its highest point, allows fatigue-free working. Despite its ultra-thin design, the KC 6000 SLIM is extremely robust, thanks to a massive metal backplate inside the casing. This demonstrates the high product quality and, in combination with the rubberized, non-slip feet, leads to a solid grip on the desk.

CHERRY relies on SX key switch technology for the KC 6000 SLIM, which is based on its in-house, high-quality scissor mechanics. This guarantees an excellent typing feel, a perfect operation, and a long service life. The laser-engraved keycaps are very durable and abrasion resistant. For a fast and easy operation of multimedia and office applications, the CHERRY KC 6000 SLIM offers six additional buttons for "Windows Lock", "Open Browser", "Volume Up", "Volume Down", "Mute", and "Open Calculator". Integrated status LEDs in the CapsLock, NumLock and ScrollLock buttons complete the modern design.

The CHERRY KC 6000 SLIM is available from May 2018 for a recommended retail price of €40 / $50 / £35.

Dat slimness, doe....

Stupidity aside... doesn't look that bad. Not a bad price, either. Still.... don't think any keyboard I've seen would replace my current keyboard. Tesoro Gram Spectrum. Awesome RGB keyboard, and also fairly slim profile. Not THAT slim... but still quite slim.

I might bite IF it were available in TKL or 60%, full size KB's are just not my thing these days.

As a CAD monkey I couldn't live without a 10 key pad. In fact i'm looking for a separate pad or a left handed board atm so I don't have to shove my keyboard halfway across the desk to get a comfortable layout.
