CES: New Zalman graphics card coolers

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/10/2010 09:04 AM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Zalman has a suite in the Palazzo hotel here in Vegas. And imagine getting into the suite and seeing all Zalman staff pack up the gear. Kinda weird, apparently Zalman rented a suit where they did not have permission to display products to guests. If they wanted to do that, they have to rent and even more expensive presidential suite. Crazy stuff is going on here in Vegas alright. We did get to see a thing or two though, zalman was displaying a new 3D Monitor that have in the works. In combo with stereoscopic glasses and the upcoming 120Hz FullHD screen the new series should be launched in Q3.

Next to that Zalman was showing a new chassis, the Z7 series. It is the first Zalman chassis series designed for general gamers that presents Zalman quality with a reasonable price.  The Z7 features a 120mm back fan, front HDD fan with Blue LED and a side fan with a controller connected to a LED light that changes from bright to light depending on the fan speed. Few of many other features include front side steel mesh bays with anti-dust filters, option for additional side fan and support for CPU Coolers up to 162mm.

Next to that the 10X series coolers flashed by and of course Zalman is also working on two new VGA coolers, one for the NVIDIA and one for the ATI segment of the market. It is the VF3000 series VGA cooler. The VF3000 series will come in two different versions; one for the ATI graphics card and the other for the NVIDIA graphics card. The high-capacity 92mm dual fan will keep the graphics card cool and the switch noise-free will keep the cooler to a minimum noise level. Have a peek.
