CES: MSI P55 GD85 motherboard

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/10/2010 10:13 AM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Over at the Wynn suites MSI had a private section for some members of the press showing some items you could not find on the convention center grounds. Check it out, below is yet another motherboard based on the P55-GD80, the photo you see below is in fact the GD85. The cool thing about it is that is has the exact same features but now come with SATA3 (6gbps) and USB 3.0. This board will be making retail quite soon already, it's nice to see SATA3 and USB 3.0 finally getting some attention from the manufacturers.

Other than that all the standard features including a lot of overclocker-friendly features, such as on-board controls for clock-speeds, clear-CMOS, OC-Genie, a DIP switch to control voltages, and voltage-sensing points that make measuring voltages convenient.

Not exactly a brilliant photo -- but it'll have to do.
