CES attendance dropped dramatically due to COVID

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas received much fewer people this year than the previous physical edition in 2020, which took place prior to the corona outbreak. According to the organizer, the Consumer Technology Association, the number of attendees dropped by more than 70 percent.

According to the organizers, approximately 40,000 individuals attended this year's CES conference. It is estimated that approximately 30% of those came from countries other than the United States. In the year leading up to the corona pandemic in 2020, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) received more than 170,000 visitors. Visitors were also asked to wear a mouth cap, maintain a safe distance, and provide a vaccination certificate upon admittance, which was reduced by one day in advance.

As a result of the rapidly expanding omikron variation of COVID-19, several big technological businesses had already decided not to attend the event. As a result, companies such as Meta, T-Mobile, Microsoft, Google, Twitter, and Philips were left out of the list, among others.
