According to information obtained from a leak on Twitter, Alienware intends to announce at CES a gaming monitor that is capable of producing 500 hertz of refresh rate. 

The information provided by the leaker suggests that the new monitor will have the model designation AW2524AH, which indicates that it will have a screen size of 25 inches. The display screen is, as one would anticipate, only a 1080p panel, although it is at least a fast IPS panel rather than a TN panel. The general technical specifications are not going to excite the majority of consumers.

The AW2524H has a native refresh rate of 480 Hz when connected through DP, but it also features an OC mode that can boost it to 500 Hz. A photo of the back of the display that was accidentally published online shows that it will feature some RGB segments, as well as a stand that can be adjusted in height and that most likely also allows the display to be rotated.
