CD Projekt RED Apologizes For Buggy Cyberpunk 2077 Release, Offers Refunds

The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 just before the weekend has been the topic of much debate. Surely we look at the game from a PC perspective solely, and even with a 1500 USD graphics card you cannot even play the game properly in Ultra HD at 60+ FPS.

Apparently where the big money for CDPR is, is consoles, and here as well performance, especially for the older generations has been quite horrible as well. In that mindset, CD Projekt RED apologizes and offers refunds for those that want one, if you bought a console version that is. They also make a promise to work on the game hard and push out patches that will be addressing the many issues with the game. These patches will roll out as late as January and February. The PC version would be receiving regular pathces and updates as well, but no timeline was mentioned.

Have a look at what they just posted, and what startled me the most here is apparently they focus mainly on consoles, as there one last line is about PC gaming, mind you that this communication does not talk about offering refunds to PC gamers.

Bought it months ago, i knew launch would be a sh*t show... an open world game as big as this one, no one should be susprised. On top of that they wanted to launch on 5 platforms at the same time ( lol ).

I'll give them 2-3 months before playing it... meanwhile i might be lucky enough to buy a 3080 lol

Why do people even pre-order digital goods these days?

Afraid the key generator runs out of combinations?

Bought mine a couple of weeks ago, the game sure is buggy, but I'm not planning on asking a refund.
Although I did think the last delay made them look unprofessional, it is my opinion that their level of respect for games is above average compared to the competition.
And since I really enjoyed the Witcher 3, I think they deserve my support.

This isn't a pre-order issue?

Well it is not like this is a common issues with pre-ordered games in todays gaming industry, i mean when was the last time you heard of a people complaining loudly about a game they threw money at unseen and untested only for them to then receieve a broken unfinished product. :p
