Comparison Resident Evil 4 with the Remake

Comparison Resident Evil 4 with the Remake

There will be a remake of Resident Evil 4 next year, and while we wait, youtuber ElAnalistaDeBits made a comparison between the original game and the remake teaser released yesterday.

Obviously, the photographs will not be exact copies, as what Capcom revealed yesterday were only snippets of Resident Evil 4 Remake. Nonetheless, the YouTuber managed to capture some information that fans might have missed.

One difference between the original game and the new version is that Leon arrives in town at sunrise. And it appears that Capcom wishes to recreate the atmosphere created by Resident Evil Village, complete with darker scenery and demolished houses when in the original everything appeared more "orderly." Capcom is shown making many adjustments to the game's scenario, but the character modeling will have the largest influence. From the animals to the protagonists.

That's unfortunate.. They should be inspired by original RE4 and not by Village, its RE4 Remake after all and not Village Remake..

I always thought RE4 took the series into "goofy" territory.
When I think of Zombie shooter, I think L4D.
When I think Zombie survival horror, I think Resident evil.

I know a lot of people loved RE4, so I can understand that they would prefer the original RE4 take (same as I loved the remake of the first and second RE, but NOT the 3rd).
I however probably will enjoy it more if they go more akin to the horror style of RE.

RE4 is when RE stopped being RE. It was a great game but:

1: It left America for Spanish-sounding Eastern Europe
2: It dropped the fixed camera for over the shoulder
3: It wasn't about zombies any more.

As for Village, it was absolutely awful. I can't understand the positive reviews it got.

RE4 was great. I did not like RE series before. And after. Latest Village was crap either.
