The Season four release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, which will bring about the return of Captain Price , was delayed due to recent incidents and uprise in the United States.

Through its official Twitter account of Call of Duty it was stated that  now is not the time " to launch it. The originally scheduled date was June 4, and now we will have to wait until an indefinite date.

"Although we all look forward to playing the new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time," read the statement. "We will postpone the releases of Season 4 of Modern Warfare and Season 7 of Call of Duty: Mobile to later dates. "

“Right now it is time for those who speak out for equality, justice and change to be heard. We are with you ” concluded the statement.

This delay in the launch of the new seasons and the accompanying statement have to do with the current protests against police brutality in the United States, sparked by the death of George Floyd at the hands of Police Officer Derek Chauvin on May 25 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In a similar reaction, Sony announced the indefinite delay of the PlayStation 5 digital event originally scheduled for Thursday. However, it was recently announced that the Future Games Fest will take place on Saturday.
