Call of Duty To Return Back To its Original Format

Activision & Blizzard presented their annual figures, and made the claim that Call of Duty Series will be returning to its toots. The space warfare theme did not increase their sales. Hence the game will be going back to its original design.

This already will be effective for this years release of COD. The latest in the series Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has (as you guys know)  a science fiction setting while large competitor Battlefield selected just for a setting in the First World War. BF1 struck gold, COD simply did not. Infinite Warfare performed less well compared to titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops -games. How and what the new COD will be like remains unknown as Activision did not share any further details.

Overwatch

Activision / Blizzard howerver did book massive a massive profuit in 2016 record with  sales of $ 6.60 billion, versus shooter Overwatch out, which now has over 25 million players. Blizzard gave 39 percent of revenue for the publisher. Activision Blizzard ever since 2015 also owns Candy Crush developer King, which accounts for 25 percent of revenues. $ 3.6 billion of total revenues came from digital sales, including downloadable content and micro-transactions.

The presentation of Activision Blizzard also shows the new Destiny appears series, an online shooter. Blizzard will not brings in major new titles in this calendar year.

It seems that customers are the greatest hurdles to any kind of innovation these days.

Haven't bothered with COD much at all since MW2. Battlefield series is where it's at for me.

I think you mean roots. Otherwise this game will become a smelly mess.

The space warfare theme did not increase their sales

You knew this before you even launched the game you f@cks.. Nobody wanted space warfare, they wanted something similar to the world wars as a timestamp. That's why Battlefield 1 stole all the fire from under your a$ses.
This feels similar to what's happened to DX:MD. Squenix segmented the story into DLCs and implemented microtransactions in a single-player game (!) and were wondering why the game didn't meet projected sales figures. The fck?

For real, sometimes I think these big corporations are run by a bunch of retards with no actual clue about what's going on around them.
