Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - RTX ON - Gunfight 2v2 MP Gameplay

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 09/13/2019 08:47 AM | source: | 18 comment(s)

NVIDIA has released a brand new video for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, in which its Ray Tracing effects are active. As such, there is nothing new in this video for those that have already seen the Gamescom 2019 gameplay videos. FYI, the multiplayer open beta phase for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will begin on September 19th on the PC.

Ray tracing has to look like this to give up frame rate
Until it does I don't see any advantage for the person on the end of the controller / mouse / keyboard.

The thing about that video I always thought was: it's real-time, in a room the size of an...elevator?

It seems the nVidia ppl dont really understand what gaming really is?

In a competitive shooter, you want FPS. It was like that since the beginning of times. Not only that, but you want as clean image as possible, you dont want to have more grass than your enemy, you dont want to have a bigger muzzle flash, you dont want a denser smoke, nothing. You want bare bones clean and super FAST graphics.

Where is the room for RTX here?

Why they even focus on the competitive aspect of gaming?

Other thing is, they lack the FANTASY.

Ok, they want to have RTX in competitive shooters. Than create a arena full of actuall mirrors? Can you imagine? You dont know if the enemy is real or a reflection, you shoot at mirror, while he has you on his trigger from a completely different position. You can catch a reflection of him moving to another cover, trying to flank you! This would just shatter the world.

No

Instead of THIS we get wet floors everywhere.

They dont have a CLUE.
