Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered launches (for 40 bucks!)

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered launches (for 40 bucks!)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, which was originally only included with the Legacy Edition or higher of 2016’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, will launch on PS4 for $39.99, followed by Xbox One and PC at a later date, Activision announced.

This standalone release does not even include the “Variety Map Pack” add-on. On Tuesday, June 27, Modern Warfare Remastered will be available both physically and digitally for PS4, with “other platforms to follow,” Activision says. It comes with the campaign and 16 multiplayer maps.

This $40 standalone version of Modern Warfare does not include the “variety map pack” that Activision sells separately for $15, so if you want everything, you’ll have to dish out even more.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered features fully improved texture resolution and detail, revamped animation, remastered audio, and much more. Fans will relive the full, iconic story campaign as they’re transported around the globe with Capt. Price, Gaz and Soap across all the missions from the original game, including “All Ghillied Up,” “Charlie Don’t Surf,” and “Crew Expendable.” Players will also experience the online multiplayer mode that redefined Call of Duty by introducing killstreaks, XP, Prestige and more, and battle head-to-head in the fan-favorite maps from the original multiplayer mode, including classics such as “Crash,” “Backlot” and “Crossfire.”

40$ for a remastered old game and they don't even include the dlc what a joke.

I think it's too late for this now. They missed their mark with this game for multiple reasons. One being Black Ops 3 is still being updated and supported with new content and fixes, you can start Black Ops 3 for just $15 and upgrade if you'd like, and $40 for a base "remastered" version of a game that usually has less than 1000 on average playing is just stupid. Maybe if it were $15-$20 with some content actually in the game, it would be a different story. I would buy it for that price even, but $40? No way.

Hey, at least they won't put it in the Blizzard Launcher along with StarCraft.

I never buy games on release anymore. COD games are a joke. Its like the Transformer movies milking you til your smart enough to stop going. DLC is just another way to get their $100 for a game, without actually charging you $100 up front.

Game keys all day long my friend. Your getting the true cost of the game that way. What happened to the good ol' days when you got the full game for $39.99. And single player was king. You actually got 30-40 hours or more out of a single player game. Now your lucky to get 5 and all the kids think that's ok. As long is it has multiplayer so I can kill other kids, I'm fine with it. Sigh..

$39.99 for a remastered game...they do try to milk the cows...

They don't try, they do. SO MANY PEOPLE are re-spending good money on this game for what boils down to a fresh coat of paint.
