But can it play Battlefield V on Intel Gen12 Xe?
The first signs of Gen12 Xe embedded GPUs have been here for a while now. Overall performance seems to be a good step forward from current-generation Intel IGPs.
Ryan Shrout over at Intel has been posting a photo of a prototype notebook with "Tiger Lake" processor, and Tiger Lake has a gen12 integrated GPU. The photo shows "Battlefield V" running, with no dedicated GPU. "Perks of the job! Impressive thin and light gaming perf with Xe graphics! Are the comments. The graphics settings are 1920x1080 with high-quality settings. More later this year!," said Shrout.
He also linked towards a video, and that reveals a framecap of 30 FPS. But the indicator of this revision of Xe certainly shows potential for light e-sport games.

Not anytime soon, but yeah, I do agree that the market will likely become smaller and smaller, with only enthusiasts buying them. With RTX and VR, ever increasing refresh rates, demand for GPU horsepower will be there for the foreseeable future.
Nvidia time running out? How long before people don't care for dedicated gpu anymore?

Running BF5 at 1080/30Hz on a ultra book is trully impressive.
Impressive would be if it run 1080/60Hz with Medium Settings. We know nothing of the settings used and no one games at 30 fps.
