Buffalo announced the first Wi-Fi 6E compatible tri-band router WNR-5400XE6 series in Asia. The maximum transfer speed is 2,401 Mbps (theoretical value) for 6 GHz and 5 GHz.

Wi-Fi 6E allows you to use the 6GHz band in addition to the 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels. When detecting congestion caused by an increase in Wi-Fi devices that used to occur in the conventional 2.4GHz / 5GHz band, microwave ovens, radio wave interference caused by nearby residential Wi-Fi, weather / aviation radar, it eliminates the effects of communication interruptions, allowing for the construction of a more comfortable Wi-Fi communication environment than ever before. Furthermore, up to three channels of 160MHz width may be established, allowing for more flexible channel design and smoother large-capacity communication.

The "WNR-5400XE6" series launched this time provides a total of 6 streams (2 + 2 + 2), 2 streams each for 3 bands, and the highest transfer speed is 2,401 Mbps (theoretical value) for 6 GHz and 5 GHz, and 573Mbps for 2.4GHz (theoretical value). Wired port capacity is 2.5 Gigabit WAN x 1, Gigabit LAN x 3, and security functions WPA3 Personal, WPA2 Personal, WPA/WPA2 Personal, WPA2/WPA3 Personal, WEP (128-bit/64-bit), Any connection denial, privacy separator, and MAC access limitations are included (maximum number of allowed registration: 64).

The outward dimensions are 140 mm wide, 75 mm deep, and 217 mm high, with a weight of around 610 g. A two-unit set model suitable for building a mesh network is available in addition to the single model.
