Buffalo announced two series Wi-Fi 6 routers, among it the "WSR-5400AX6S" compatible with the mesh network standard "Wi-Fi Easy Mesh".

Currently, there are two ways to expand the radio wave of wireless LAN, one is to use a repeater and the other is to use the original mesh function of each manufacturer. However, in the former case, the route between the master unit and the repeater may not be optimized depending on the situation, or the terminal may not be connected to an appropriate connection destination. In the latter case, there are many restrictions such as not being able to operate between different manufacturers and not being compatible with the mesh environment using a wired LAN.

"Wi-Fi EasyMesh" eliminates the drawbacks of repeaters and original meshes. Also, the settings have been simplified.
"Wi-Fi Easy Mesh" was introduced to solve this problem. With this function, the base unit automatically selects the optimum communication route for relay, and high-speed roaming enables seamless optimum connection. In addition, it also supports mesh connection via wired LAN, enabling stable communication even in reinforced concrete and remote locations.

The "WSR-5400AX6S" (135 EUR) is a high-end model that supports high-speed transfer of 4,803 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and 573 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. There are two colors, champagne gold and black.

Security functions include WPA, WPA / WPA2-mixed, WPA2, WPA3, Any connection refusal, privacy separator, MAC access restriction (maximum number of registered units: 64). The interface is equipped with Gigabit WAN x1 and Gigabit LAN x1. The external dimensions are width 59 mm, depth 175 mm, height 177 mm, and weight about 650 g.

The "WSR-1500AX2S" (55 EUR) is an entry model with 1,201 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. Although detailed specifications have not been disclosed at this time, the interfaces are Gigabit WANx1 and Gigabit LANx3. There are two main body colors, black and white.
