Both Custom and Founder Graphics GeForce 3000 cards Launch Simultaneously

Both Custom and Founder Graphics GeForce 3000 cards Launch Simultaneously

As the topic title says, word out on the cyber street is that custom (AIB) and NVIDIA Founder Graphics GeForce 3000 cards would launch simultaneously.

It has to be stated that this is based on chatter on the web, so take the news with a bit of care. Historically NVIDIA has been launching founder cards first, and then a few weeks later the AIB/AIC's (board partners) could launch their revised models with all the improvements they added. It's, however not confirmed.

From the looks of things we'll get a bit of a teaser on August the 31st, official announcements on September the 9th, the 17th the actual release. It has to be stated though, it's NVIDIA and just based on all the media news with semi-confirmed launch dates, for kicks and giggles they could just shuffle it up a little here and there.

Since we now have three dates I could throw in another argument, August the 31st announcements, September the 9th release and founder card reviews and the 17th AIB availability. That's just a thought though. But it is safe to say that early September you all get to learn all you want to know about the new Ampere based graphics cards.

Don't make hasty purchase decisions - let both NVIDIA and AMD release their products, get reviewed, and only then make a purchase.

Personally, depending on the prices/actual value/performance - will wait till the start of the next year or probably skip this gen altogether. There are 0 upcoming titles I'm looking forward to, and still have a gazillion of old ones to catch up on with my 5700xt.

You let both NVIDIA and AMD release their products and got a 5700XT LOL

Enjoying them terrible drivers much? Gonna be real enjoyable when Cyberpunk releases and you get 30-40% FPS less than Nvidia users enoying their crisp DLSS non-TAA experience

I know it's best to see performance of both product line-ups, but, imho, early adoption is the way to go to maximise the benefits of a new card and having those benefits for the longest time possible.

If it looks good I'm not waiting. I got my GTX1070 from release, no regrets. For £420 I think I've maximised the benefits of this card and had my monies worth more so than those who bought it a year later (at same or higher price) after seeing what AMD had to offer. I finished my current build in 20/6/2016, so I'm looking at less than £100 a year to have this card. Not too bad imho.

Also, the 5700xt is a great performer for the money, you don't need to upgrade yet.

Yes, it provides good performance per $. And if you have bad experience with driver, it is your own doing in 95% of cases. For remaining 5%, you can as well start being tiny bit objective after reading nV's driver section.
And DLSS is yet to become crisp.

Why you assume everybody will be playing the games you know? Got anything better in life to do than bait others? He even mentioned that not interested in upcoming titles.

There bunch of titles that perform better on AMD card. The comment is not about getting the best video card to play lolpunk1337 on, but for user specific use case.

You wanna throw money at Novidia, do it and enjoy your another "It just works" experience. There are others advanced users that do more with GPU than just game.... Or wait, you still on GTX8800 OMEGALUL.
