Bluetooth SIG 5.0 certification Indicates NVIDIA Shield 2019 Device (again)
Over the past year or so we've mentioned that NVIDIA might be working on a new Shield series. Their Android TV-based media streaming devices have been quite successful ever since its first release, and still ongoing as NVIDIA still is updating them.
Lots of people either like or dislike the Shield series from NVIDIA. Personally, I have two of them as kids like to simply game stream or use the Android TV functionality. Next, to that, these are excellent media boxes supporting Ultra HD and HDR on all complex color gamut standards as well as proper HD audio passthrough. As mentioned a while ago, there might be something new brewing. A while ago two new code already have been spotted in the codebase. Two mysterious accessories called 'Stormcaster' and 'Friday' have been listed. The names are associated with a new Shield controller and remote control. And if that happens, Nvidia likely also has a new Shield in the works.
Then July 26th, 2019 - the NVIDIA Corporation SHIELD Android TV Game Console P3430 has surfaced at FCC, so once again it looked like NVIDIA indeed is working on a new revision. Mentioned a while ago was a new Tegra X1 T210 B01-SoC. This is a chip with four Cortex A57 and four A53 copies. Reportedly, the same Tegra X1 SoC could also be found in the updated Switch and Switch Lite from Nintendo.
This week however yet another Shield 2019 new entry was spotted, this round a Shield Android TV console received Bluetooth SIG 5.0 certification. So yes, perhaps a new Android box seems to be approaching. Thinking outside the box for a second, combine it all with specifications like the Tegra X1 processor, Bluetooth 5.0, 4K HDR compatibility (already supported btw), WiFi 6, USB-C, Android 10, and NVIDIA would have yet another successful Android TV console here.

They need to fix the remote control problem too. Woefully unresponsive. I own 4 Shields, and all of them have remote control issues. And make them rechargeable and not use those ridiculous CR2032 batteries.
