Biostar X370, B350, A320 Motherboards Get BIOS Updates for Raven Ridge

Biostar announces compatibility with the all-new AMD Raven Ridge APUs for its existing X370, B350 and A320 chipset-based motherboards. Current owners of these BIOSTAR motherboards can download their BIOS with a new update from BIOSTAR website. Mainstream users such as gamers and content creators will be able to take advantage of the new upgrades from AMD.

The new AMD Ryzen 2000 family of processors have built-in Radeon RX Vega Graphics with the release of the Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G. The new Raven Ridge APUs will be supported by the following BIOSTAR motherboard models:

AMD Ryzen 2000 Series Desktop Processors with Built-in Vega GPU Cores

The new Desktop Ryzen APUs combine the latest “Zen” core and AMD Radeon graphics engine based on the advanced “Vega” architecture offering the highest performance graphics engine in a desktop processor with its advanced quad-core performance with up to eight processing threads. The first batch of Desktop Ryzen APUs to be released are the AMD Ryzen™ 5 2400G with Radeon™ RX Vega 11 Graphics and AMD Ryzen™ 3 2200G with Radeon™ Vega 8 Graphics.

Mainstream gamers and content creators can upgrade to the new AMD Raven Ridge with Vega graphics with ease when using BIOSTAR X370, B350 and A320 chipset motherboards. What a great way to start off the new year!

The X370GTN seems to suggest it's a beta BIOS. Since I don't intend to buy a Raven Ridge any time soon, I think I'm going to hold off on the updates. Great to see Biostar actually keep up with the pace, though.

I seriously hope they fix the 20+ second POST time... I'd say that's my greatest complaint at the moment.
